This year’s 2025 Dying Matters Awareness Week film explores the culture of dying from the perspective of three hospice volunteers: Pauline, from London, Lawrence, from Scotland, and Berna, from Turkey.

Together, they share their incredibly personal experiences of death in their own cultures, and what that means to them – to create a unique and intimate portrait of why the culture of dying matters.
